5th Annual Black History Parade
Overview
On Saturday, February 28th, the 5th Annual Black History Parade Presented by Coosa Valley Credit Union returns to downtown Cartersville, Georgia. Starting at 1:30pm, the parade features floats, Divine 9 representation, car clubs, motorcycle clubs, dance teams, and show-style marching bands.
The route will start at the Tabernacle Baptist Church parking lot, turning right on Douglas Street, right on Church Street, left on Erwin Street, right on Cherokee Avenue, left on Bartow Street, left on Main Street, and left on Tennessee Street before returning to Tabernacle.
Immediately following the parade, Friendship Plaza will host a Black business showcase highlighting local entrepreneurs, powerful & uplifting guest speakers, music performances, and a community resource fair bringing awareness to the great variety of nonprofits in our community. Music will be provided by DJ Lah-Shae, with a special performance by the Morris Brown College Concert Choir.
The festival will be hosted by HeadKrack, known nationally from his time on Dish Nation and the Rickey Smiley Morning Show.
